Alarm Verification:The primary function of our Central Station is to monitor and verify alarm activation signals and dispatch the appropriate emergency responders. Burglar alarm activations are verified in one of three ways, dependent upon the level of service and emergency call-out procedures designated by the customer:

Alarm verification provides a level of proof for law enforcement in the event of an actual emergency and ensures prompt response from law enforcement in time of need. It also eliminates false alarm fees imposed when law enforcement responds to false alarms.
Alarm Response Service: Our uniformed alarm response agents can be promptly dispatched to your home or facility to verify the status of a burglar alarm activation signal. In the event of an actual emergency, the response agent will immediately notify Central Station to dispatch law enforcement.
Decreased Response Time: Due to the high number of false alarms, local law enforcement places burglar alarm activation signals at the bottom of their response list, and can take hours to respond. Our Central Station can verify your alarm activation signal and promptly dispatch local law enforcement in the event of an actual emergency, resulting in decreased response time and ensuring that help is on scene as quickly as possible.
Eliminates False Alarm Fees: One primary problem facing our industry today is false alarms. Most burglar alarm activations are verified by calling the premises to speak with the homeowner or person in charge. If the dispatcher is unable to verify that the alarm is false, they adhere to emergency call-out procedures and dispatch law enforcement. In 95 percent of the cases, when the police arrive they determine that it is a false alarm, and false alarm fees (typically $85 or more) are imposed. Utilizing Alarm Verification through Alarm Response Service or IVM helps to eliminate false alarm fees.
Highly-Trained Central Station Dispatchers: While other security companies rely on third-party monitoring services, Boyd & Associates staffs our own local Central Station monitoring facility with highly-trained and efficient dispatchers, thereby ensuring prompt response when needed. These professionals are licensed by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, which requires a criminal background investigation. They have also passed our stringent pre-hire background and drug-screening, and signed a Confidentiality Agreement.
Activity Reports: Our Central Station can provide daily, weekly or monthly reports of activity on your alarm system such as openings and closings, etc., so you know who has accessed your premises and when. These reports can be emailed to you upon request.
